So starts my blog.  

It has been a long, much anticipated await but it is finally here.  Tomorrow evening the CD will be making its way to be duplicated!

Very exciting.  You will have to excuse the website.  I am nowhere close to being a professional.  Hoping in time I will learn to put in a couple of things here and there to make this site more entertaining and useful.

MY VISION:  To one day have this site become a forum for Christian worship leaders, songwriter, and musicians to put their talents and heads together to create useful tools for worship.  Sheet music, .mp3s, the works.  However, I am about three HTML for Dummies books, 2,000 labor hours, and 84 cases of Diet Coke away from that goal.

To focus on what lies before me immediately, I would love to have input on what you would like to see from this site.  I would love to put together, slideshows, you tube style worship videos, chord charts, etc. for this worship album specifically.  Just go to the contact me section of this website to leave some feedback(AFTER YOU HAVE PURCHASED AN ALBUM or two).

Release date.

You might have seen that the release date in an email as "1.11.07."  It was listed on the website as that as well until a few minutes ago.  The correct release date it "1.11.08."  I have overlooked this for probably two months now.  Thanks CIsler for thinking on a higher level.  While I am giving out thanks I would like to thank former fellow band members of Day of Atonement, Adam Burgess and Andrew Crawford, for their help in putting down / recording drum tracks.  Four songs from this album feature Adam Burgess playing drums.

First day of preorders and we already have 30!  That is 1/10 the goal.  I also recieved some great letters yesterday of encouragement and support.  I ask all of you to keep this album and its purpose in your prayers and to ask God to bless it and make it fruitful.  I also ask each one of you to get on your bullhorns and send out emails to everyone in you mailing list to get the news out about this.  If you are involved in the leadership at your church I ask to you get this in your bulletin, announce it from the pulpit, or buy several copies to keep at your church to resell.

I will be adding a page today that will tell the purpose of this album and can be printed off to use for promotion.  I will also be adding another page for future use for posting chord charts of the music, powerpoint presentations, overheads, and devotionals.  There will be changes here and there throughout the week so check back often.

It took an all nighter and a new monitor per Wal-Mart at 3:00 a.m., but the album is on it's way to production.  Sleep deprivation is running its course and I can feel my body trying to shutdown. Keep on forwarding and sending out the message in your mailing lists, use facebook, myspace, blog it, or whatever it takes.  I ask that you pray for the goal to be reached and that God continues to bless this project.

I really hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.  I just got in last night from quite a trip around the SE United States.  I packed up the Friday before last and visited family in South Carolina, and then did the same the next Thursday and headed towards Arkansas.  It was a wonderful holiday.  There are very few things that are as good as seeing the people you love when you haven't seen them in quite some time.

Over the past couple of weekends we have encouraged churches to put a flyer in their bullentin.  If you haven't seen it in your church yet then encourage them to do so this week.  We are at 1/6 of our goal so I ask that you send out some emails, and encourage others to support the cause.

Within the next couple of days I will be posting chord charts for the three songs that are streaming on the site under the music tab.  You will not have to wait for the CD to practice, perform, and worship.  I would also like to extend and invitation to other worship leaders and songwriters to get their songs on this site.  I have added a .pdf file converter that will convert whatever file format your use for word processing to a file that can be read by any one with Adobe Reader.

Guidelines to submit music:

1. You must be the original songwriter and performer or have written consent of one or both.

2. You must submit an audio recording of song in .mp3, .wma format.  This song must be worship music and in no way explicit.

3. You must submit a chord chart or sheet music in .pdf format (converter is above and will be on submit page) to make the song avaiable for others to play.

4. You must submit a photo in .jpg or .gif format that will be considered your "album cover." This will be used in the promotion of your submittal. The photo should be a representation of your music or yourself and in now way explicit.

5. Song will be made avaiable for download for the price of $.99 via this site. 

6. You agree that the breakdown of each dollar will be as follows:  50% Paypal transfer back to the submitter, 25% Site maintenance, 25% World Vision.
